Honestly, I stopped to watch/listen to Ben Whishaw reading a restaurant menu or the minutes of a local council meeting, so I was always going to see this. There are some excellent performances from the supporting cast in Black Doves and for those who are single and enjoy dark humour, this is a must-watch. Ella Lily Hyland as Williams and Gabrielle Creevy as Eleanor are mesmerising in this series as my two favourite characters. As for Kathryn Hunter as Lenny Lines, let’s just say her performance is sublime. Add to that the gorgeous sets and theatrical direction and this is an absolute winner for me.
